LE RAVY

Born from an initiative led by local residents, Le Ravy is a welcoming community hub at the heart of the Champ-Ravy neighbourhood centre in Plan-les-Ouates. Originally created to bring people together in what was then a predominantly residential area, it now welcomes local residents, families, associations and visitors around quality food and a strong social purpose.

Context and Mission

When Caritas, which had been operating the restaurant, decided to step away from this role, the Municipality of Plan-les-Ouates approached Malipa Hospitality Solutions to support the search for a new operator.

The challenge was to preserve Le Ravy’s social and community-led identity, which is deeply valued by local residents and associations, while finding a restaurant model that could remain sustainable in the long term. The new operator therefore needed to balance food service, professional reintegration and training, community life and financial sustainability.

Our solution

Malipa Hospitality Solutions supported the Municipality in shaping the future of Le Ravy and identifying an operator able to understand the unique nature of the venue. Our approach was built around the needs of the neighbourhood, the venue’s social purpose and the practical realities of running the restaurant.
